Ed West's post in the Telegraph today about the brownification of America got me thinking about the plight of Europeans in the countries they have built all across the world. Almost everywhere, they face the prospect of becoming minorities in their own countries in the course of this century. As Enoch Powell predicted, the brown man will then hold the whip hand over the white man. But we can trust in their future benevolence, can't we? As the Swedish Immigration Minister, Jens Orback, said:

"We must be open and generous to Islam and Muslims so that when we (Swedes) are the minority, they will do the same to us."

Brown-on-white racism is generally a taboo subject; even brown-on-brown racism is. Designated victim groups are not supposed to be capable of such vile thoughts. Only we Europeans are. The fact is that for centuries brown people have looked with envious eyes at the glory of European civilisation, and have dreamed of bringing it down. Today, they are licking their lips because the achievement of that long-cherished goal now seems to be in sight.

This madness is occurring because Europeans have replaced the traditional concept of a nation with one based on abstract ideals, or values as they like to put it. Any attempt to define a people on any other basis is denounced as evil. Europeans desperately need to develop a discourse that allows them to defend their right to collective existence as Europeans.

Of course, once they become minorities in their own countries, the demented idealism that has brought about their downfall will quickly melt away; the cherished minorities who are now majorities will not be interested in idealism; nor will they be interested in lending their support to the new indigenous minority.

What will occur, I suppose, will simply be an acceleration of the process we already see under way: white flight. Europeans will seek to congregate with others of their own kind. This is, after all, the most basic impulse in human nature other than the core survival instincts. Agglomerations of white people will form. States will break up as the brown demographic conquerors monopolise whole areas and the newly minoritised white people predominate in the areas they have fled to.

Where will these last redoubts be? Alaska seems like a good prospect for the USA. The brown people tend to be averse to cold climates. Iceland may a good prospect for Europe. Iceland has eight times the land mass of Britain but only a tiny population of 300,000. Unfortunately, it has no military, but that could change.

Eastern Europe may also survive as a bastion of European civilisation if the Muslims take over in the West, just as north-western Europe, previously a backwater, carried the torch of our civilisation once it had been extinguished in the Middle East and Byzantium by the Mohammedan hordes. There has been very little third-world immigration into Eastern Europe and the spirit of political correctness has so far not flourished there.

Within Britain, Scotland has some potential to serve as a last redoubt. It has one third of the land mass of the United Kingdom, a history of resistance to foreign invasion and mountainous terrain that would pose problems for any would-be conqueror. There has also been very little third-world immigration into Scotland, compared to the rest of Britain. Muslims have a not insignificant presence in Glasgow but this is still on nothing like the scale seen in the cities of England.

Whether Scotland will remain in this uninvaded state for long remains to be seen however. Scottish politics is dominated by left-wing attitudes; there is a cross-party consensus there that immigration is a good thing. Unlike in England, the parties do not even bother to pretend to be heeding public concerns about immigration. This may change quickly, however, once it is actually experienced. Indeed, there are signs that this is happening in Glasgow already thanks to the Labour Council's recent encouragement of asylum seekers and the consequent predictable rape epidemic.

But wherever these last redoubts are, what will the Europeans there do? Content themselves with their newly diminished state? The sense of betrayal and anger they feel may well be unlike anything ever experienced in the history of the world. All utopian idealism, all sense of compassion or charity will be gone. Newly enfranchised from their imprisoning ideologies, will the Europeans, now harsh and pitiless, seek to reconquer their former homes?

Recall what happened in Spain. When the Muslims conquered Spain, the Christian nobility retreated to the Asturias on the Bay of Biscay, surrounded by mountains on three sides and facing the sea on the other. It was their last redoubt. From the very first, they intended to reconquer the rest of the country some day. They bided their time for hundreds of years, never giving up the memory of what was or the dream of what could be again. Eventually, they succeeded. It was from the Asturias that Spain was reconquered for Christendom.

Will we have an Asturias this time? Where will it be?
